Bethesda this week released Wolfenstein: The Old Blood to Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One and the PC.
The stand-alone prequel includes B.J. Blazkowicz in a two-part mission in Bavaria. In Wolfenstein: The Old Blood – Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves, Blazkowicz breaks into Castle Wolfenstein to steal the coordinates to General Deathshead’s compound. In Wolfenstein: The Old Blood – The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs, Blazkowicz is led to the city of Wulfburg to confront an archaeologist that threatens to unleash dark and ancient power.
The PS4 and PC SKU is sold at retail and in digital format at $19.99. The Xbox One SKU is sold only in digital format at $19.99.
Wolfenstein: The New Order is the current installment in the classic first-person action adventure franchise.
Developed by MachineGames, the single-player action adventure title includes B.J. Blazkowicz in an alternate version of the 1960’s to battle high-tech Nazi legions.
The final game utilizes the id Software’s id Tech 5 engine.
