The data was based on figures provided by NPD Group Inc.

Sony this week said Bloodborne for the Playstation 4 has sold through one million units at global retail.

The sales figure is as of Apr. 5, 2015.

In Mar., Bloodborne ranked as the No. 1 digital download title among all PS4 titles.

In addition, Bloodborne ranked as the No. 2 best-selling software across all platforms for the month at U.S. retail.

Sony this week said it will release the 1.03 update to Bloodborne.

The 1.03 update will reduce certain load times and include performance optimization.

EA Inc. this week said it will release Star Wars BattlefrontNov. 17.

Developed by DICE, Star Wars Battlefront will include solo, local and online co-op, and competitive multiplayer battles for up to 40 players.

EA Inc.’s Battlefield Hardline for the Playstation 4 ranked in the top three best-selling digital download titles at the Playstation Store in Mar.

In Mar., Battlefield Hardline ranked as the No. 2 best-selling digital download software across all PS4 titles.

Sony this week released Photo Mode functionality for The Order: 1886.

The mode allows users to compose, capture, and share images from in-game action.

Sony this week said Capcom Co.’s Ultra Street Fighter IV for the Playstation 4 will be sold May 26.

The title will be sold at the Playstation Network at $24.99.

Ultra Street Fighter IV adds five new fighters including Rolento, Poison, Hugo, Elena, and Decapre for a total of 44 characters.

Sony this month said Capcom Co.’s Resident Evil Revelations 2 for the PS Vita will be released this summer.

The PS Vita SKU will include all four episodes and Raid Mode with single-player functionality. Online co-op and Ad-Hoc modes is scheduled to be added in a post launch update.

Activision Blizzard Inc. this week said it will release the House of Wolves DLC to Destiny May 19.

House of Wolves will include a new Awoken storyline, exclusive Raid, three new Crucible maps, new Fallen Strike, and hundreds of new weapons, armor, and gear.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment Inc. this week released Mortal Kombat X.

The fighting title utilizes new next-generation hardware and include multiple fight mechanics per character.

Microsoft this week said the pre-order and pre-download option for State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition< for the Xbox One is now available via Xbox Live.

State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition will include the base game and enhanced DLCs Breakdown and Lifeline with new Danforth location and military unit perspective.

Nintendo Co. this week released a new update to Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U.

Update Ver. 1.0.6 includes downloadable content, tweaked character balancing, Mii Fighters costume purchase functionality, and sharing functionality including Photos, Mii Fighters, Replays and Custom Stages.

The update is required to utilize online multiplayer functionality.

Nintendo Co. this month released the Ranked Battle, Battle Dojo, amiibo Trailer for Splatoon for Wii U.

The trailer previews online battles, practice battles, and amiibo functionality.

Mario Party 10 for the Wii U ranked in the top five software sales in Mar. at U.S. retail in data by NPD Group Inc.

In Mar., Mario Party 10 ranked as the No. 4 best-selling software across all platforms for the month.

Nintendo said the title sold 290,000 in the first two weeks of sale.

Namco Bandai Games America Inc. this week said it will release Project X Zone 2 for the Nintendo 3DS this fall.

Developed by Banpresto and Monolith Soft, Project X Zone 2 is a strategy RPG that features characters from Namco Bandai, Sega Corp., and Capcom Co. franchises.

Microsoft this week released Halo: Spartan Strike to the PC, Windows Phone, iPhone, iPad and Steam.

Halo: Spartan Strike is a brand new top-down mobile shooter that is set during the events of Halo 2.

Rockstar Games this week released Grand Theft Auto V for the PC to U.S. retail.

Grand Theft Auto V includes updated graphics and sound, new weapons, vehicles, and activities, denser traffic, additional wildlife, new foliage system, enhanced damage and weather effects, and enhanced radio selections.
