Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 33,826 units between Mar. 9 and Mar. 15 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.

It sold 33,753 units the week prior.

The PS3 sold 7,221 units to rank at No. 4 in the same period.

The Yakuza 0 PS4 SKU ranked as the No. 2 best-selling software for the week selling 90,506 units at launch. The PS3 SKU ranked as the No. 1 software for the week in the same period.

Sony this week launched Playstation Vue, a cloud-based TV service, to the Playstation 4 and Playstation 3.

The service feature on-demand TV, the option to save shows to the cloud, and Search and Explore functions to narrow program results.

Playstation Vue includes around 75 channels per market from national programmers and local broadcast station.

Launch partners include CBS, Discovery Communications, Fox, Fox News Network, NBC Universal, Scripps Networks, Viacom, and AMC Networks.

The service starts at $49.99 per month with no contracts and the service does not require any additional equipment other than the console hardware.

The Access Package costs $49.99 per month, the Core Package sells at $59.99 and adds local regional sports networks, and the Elite Package sells at $69.99 per month and includes Access and Core channels plus more than 25 lifestyle, music and family channels.

The service is available now in New York, Chicago and Philadelphia.

Capcom Co. this week released the Resident Evil Revelations 2 retail SKU to U.S. retail.

The retail SKU adds two additional spin-off episodes, Raid Mode characters Hunk and Albert Wesker, four alternate costumes, and the Raid Mode Throwback Stage Pack.

It sells at $39.99.

Sony this week released the Toukiden: Kiwami demo for the Playstation 4 and the PS Vita in the Playstation Network division.

Toukiden: Kiwami is a third-person monster hunter title that will include the Toukiden: Age of Demons story and a brand new story of the same size that follows the original.

The final game includes new weapons, new Mitama, new Slayers, new moves, four-player co-op functionality, and a save data transfer option from Toukiden: Age of Demons.

The title will be sold in physical and digital formats Mar. 31.

Idea Factory International Inc. this week said it will release Omega Quintet for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 Apr. 28 to U.S. retail.

Omega Quintet is a RPG idol simulation title in which control an idol group to perform and build up music attacks to battle evil.

The final game includes Playstation Camera and Playstation Move support.

The final game includes customization options to enhance abilities.

Sales for the Playstation Vita ranked as the No. 3 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 30,791 units between Mar. 9 and Mar. 13 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.

By comparison, the hardware sold 20,378 units the week prior.

Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth ranked as the No. 3 software for the week selling 76,760 units at launch.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 32,088 units between Mar. 9 and Mar. 13 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 33,950 units the week prior.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask ranked as the No. 8 software for the week, selling 381,702 units to date.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked at No. 6 in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 307 units between Mar. 9 and Mar. 15 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.

It sold 445 units the week prior.

Microsoft this week began sale of the Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Collection Bundle to U.S. retail.

The bundle includes the standard Xbox One console and a digital download code for Halo: The Master Chief Collection at $349.99.

Sling Media Inc. this week released the Sling TV service for the Xbox One.

The Xbox One is the first game console to offer the service and that Xbox Live subscribers will receive an extended one-month trial to preview the service at launch.

Sling TV offers a range of channels including ESPN, ESPN2, Disney, Food Network, HGTV, TNT, CNN, TBS, Cartoon Network, and Adult Swim at $20 per month.

Additional channels will be available for an extra per-month fee.

Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware ranked fifth in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 7,054 units between Mar. 9 and Mar. 15 to rank at No. 5 in overall sales.

It sold 7,379 units the week prior.

Mario Party 10 ranked as the No. 5 best-selling software for the week selling 50,212 units at launch.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. this week released the Mario Party 10 and the Mario Party 10 + Mario amiibo Bundle for Wii U to U.S. retail.

The Mario Party 10 + Mario amiibo Bundle includes the Mario Party 10 software and Mario Party amiibo at $59.99.

Mario Party 10 includes brand new game boards, mini-games, amiibo party, and brand-new Bowser Party Mode to play as Bowser.

The stand-alone version sells at $49.99.

Nintendo this week said it will enter a business and capital partnership with DeNA Co., Ltd. to develop and operate new game applications for mobile smart devices.

In addition, it will partner to build a new multi-device membership service for consumers worldwide.

The deal will allow both companies to develop and operate new game apps based on Nintendo’s IP, including game characters, for smart devices.

Atlus Inc. this week said it will offer all DLC for Etrian Mystery Dungeon for the Nintendo 3DS at no additional cost for a limited time.

The DLC, which includes five quests and various bonuses, will be available free through May 5.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon, to be sold Apr. 7, is a dungeon explorer RPG that combines character classes and skill trees from the Etrian Odyssey franchise.

Atlus Inc. this month previewed SpotPass and StreetPass functionality for Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker for the Nintendo 3DS.

SpotPass will allow users to retrieve new demons to fuse and skill add-ons.

In addition, StreetPass will allow users to give random stat and skill bonuses to demons.

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker, to be sold May 5, is an enhanced version of the 2011 Nintendo DS title.
