Microsoft Corp. this week said the Xbox One hardware held a month-to-month increase at U.S. retail in Feb.
The company said the Xbox One held a 84 percent month-to-month sales increase in Feb. compared to Jan. 2015.
Microsoft sold 6.6 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 hardware consoles combined in the second quarter.
By comparison, the company sold 7.4 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 units combined the year prior.
For the quarter ended Dec. 31, Xbox platform revenue decreased to $703 million or 10 percent in total console volume.
The company cited the transition from Xbox 360 to Xbox One with lower prices compared to the year prior and lower revenue from second and third-party video games and accessories.
