Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware increased in Japan post release of a new bundle that includes Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 1,381 units between Feb. 16 to Feb. 22 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.

It sold 191 units the week prior.

The Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Collection bundle sells at 39,980 yen ($333 US). Customers who purchase the bundle prior to Mar. 1 will receive a 5,000 yen discount.

Microsoft sold 6.6 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 hardware consoles combined in the quarter.

By comparison, the company sold 7.4 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 units combined the year prior.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31, Xbox platform revenue decreased to $703 million or 10 percent in total console volume.

The company cited the transition from Xbox 360 to Xbox One with lower prices compared to the year prior and lower revenue from second and third-party video games and accessories.
