Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 21,381 units between Feb. 9 and Feb. 15 to rank No. 2 in overall hardware sales.
It sold 18,758 units the week prior.
The PS3 sold 6,683 units to rank at No. 4 in the same period.
Samurai Warriors 4-II PS4 SKU ranked as the No. 6 best-selling title for the week selling 22,468 units at launch.
Sony this week released the Story Trailer for Bloodborne for the Playstation 4.
The trailer features characters found in the city of Yharnam.
Bloodborne, to be sold Mar. 24, is a medieval action title developed by From Software and SCE Japan Studio.
Sony Corp. this week released the Diamond Dynasty Trailer for MLB 15 The Show for the Playstation 4.
The trailer previews the Diamond Dynasty mode to build a custom fantasy team.
Bethesda Softworks this week said it will release The Assignment DLC for The Evil Within in Mar.
The Assignment is the part one of a two-part DLC that centers on Juli Kidman.
Developed by Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within is a survival horror title in which users utilize limited resources to fight for survival.
Sales for the Playstation Vita ranked as the No. 3 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 11,489 units between Feb. 9 and Feb. 15 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.
By comparison, the hardware sold 10,573 units the week prior.
The Samurai Warriors 4-II PS Vita SKU ranked as the No. 5 software for the week selling 23,519 units at launch.
Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware ranked as the No. 6 hardware in the latest retail data from Japan.
Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox One sold 191 units between Feb. 9 to Feb. 15 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.
It sold 238 units the week prior.
Microsoft this week previewed the Mar. System Update for the Xbox One.
The Mar. Update will include Screenshots functionality, Suggested Friends, Sharing Your Name, Tile Transparency settings, Privacy and Online Safety settings, and a Report Spam option.
Microsoft this week said it will release a Day One Edition for State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition for the Xbox One.
The Day One Edition will add a special supply drop with the SKS Firearm, Prepper SUV, and the Folding Axe Melee Weapon.
State of Decay: Year-One Survival Edition will include the base game and enhanced DLCs Breakdown and Lifeline with new Danforth location and military unit perspective.
The final game will include 1080p high definition resolution graphics, lighting changes, and increased draw distance.
It will be sold Apr. 28 at $29.99.
Microsoft this week began the Xbox One Ultimate Game Sale to discount select titles in the Xbox Live division.
Through Feb. 24, customers can download select titles at 25 to 75 percent off the MSRP.
Discounted titles will include Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Alien Isolation, The Crew, Destiny, Forza Motorsport 5, Lara Croft: Temple of Osiris, and Trials Fusion Deluxe Edition.
Xbox Live Gold members will receive a greater discount off select titles.
Tecmo Koei Corp. this week released Dead or Alive 5 Last Round to U.S. retail.
Dead or Alive 5 Last Round includes the largest roster in franchise history, in addition to Akira, Pai, Jacky and Sarah Bryant from the Virtua Fighter series.
The final game includes 300 open and unlockable costumes, brand new hairstyle and accessory options the option to transfer previous generation DLC content to the title.
It sells at $39.99.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 7,007 units between Feb. 9 to Feb. 15 to rank at No. 5 in overall sales.
It sold 6,157 units the week prior.
Kirby and the Rainbow Curse ranked as the No. 16 best-selling software for the week. It has sold 58,267 units since launch in Jan.
Nintendo this week said disclosed regional amiibo sales for each figure released to U.S. retail.
Top-sellers in the U.S. include Link, Mario, Pikachu, Marth, Villager and Wii Fit Trainer.
Amiibo figures have sold 5.7 million units in global territories since launch in Nov. 2014.
Nintendo this week released AXELAY to the Wii U Virtual Console division.
Developed by Konami Corp., AXELAY is a scrolling shooter released to the SNES in 1992.
The final game includes horizontal and vertical scrolling levels in addition to upgradeable weapons.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 58,745 units between Feb. 9 and Feb. 15 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.
The hardware sold 35,292 units the week prior.
Nintendo this week said the new Nintendo 3DS XL has sold more than 175,000 units at launch at U.S. retail.
The sales figure is based on the first two days of sale for the hardware, which launched Feb. 13.
The new Nintendo 3DS XL includes a 4.88-inch screen and up to seven hours of battery life.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask ranked as the No. 1 software for the week, selling 230,065 units at launch.

The figure represents the first three days of sale in the U.S.
Atlus Inc. this week said it will release Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker for the Nintendo 3DS May 5 at U.S. retail.
Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker is an enhanced version of the 2011 Nintendo DS title.
It adds full English story voices, relocalized dialogue, and a new episode that continues after the final day of DS2.
The final game includes turn-based combat, permanent character death, new player abilities, and more than 100 hours of gameplay.
