Microsoft Corp. said it will sell the Xbox One with Kinect at $449 in a special promotion.

From Feb. 8 to Feb. 21, consumers can purchase the Xbox One with Kinect at $449 at U.S. retailers, including Best Buy Co. Inc., Inc., GameStop Corp., Target Corp., and Toys R Us Inc. stores.

The stand-alone Xbox One hardware currently sells at $349.00

Microsoft sold 6.6 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 hardware consoles combined in the second quarter.

By comparison, the company sold 7.4 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 units combined in the second quarter of 2014.

For the quarter ended Dec. 31, Xbox platform revenue decreased to $703 million or 10 percent in total console volume.

The company cited the transition from Xbox 360 to Xbox One with lower prices compared to the year prior and lower revenue from second and third-party video games and accessories.
