Capcom Co. this week said Raid Mode for Resident Evil Revelations 2 for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the PC will be offline at launch in late Feb.
The company said online functionality will be enabled when all four episodes have been released in Mar.
Raid Mode is a shoot-and-loot action mode in which users battle through a horde of enemies and collect new weapons.
Raid Mode in Resident Evil Revelations 2 will include new treasure chests, and solo and local two-player split-screen functionality.
In Resident Evil Revelations 2 veteran Claire Redfield and Moira Burton, the daughter of Barry Burton from Resident Evil, are abducted in an abandoned detention facility and face new Afflicted enemies.
In addition, the title will feature Barry Burton and new character Natalia Korda in a search to find Moira.
The title is said to feature limited ammo and supplies in traditional survival horror style.
A total of four episodes will be sold at $5.99 each beginning Feb. 17 via the Playstation Network and Feb. 18 via Xbox Live, with new episodes to be sold each subsequent week. Each episode will include two full playable scenarios
In addition, users can purchase the Complete Season at $24.99 or the retail SKU Mar. 10, 2015 at $39.99. The retail SKU adds two additional spin-off episodes, Raid Mode characters Hunk and Albert Wesker, Four alternate costumes, and the Raid Mode Throwback Stage Pack.
Resident Evil Revelations introduced the Federal Bioterrorism Commission and the city of Terrogrigia, which was destroyed in a terrorist attack by an organization called Veltro.
It sold 1.1 million copies worldwide.
