Microsoft Corp. this week said the company sold 6.6 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 hardware consoles combined in the second quarter.
By comparison, the company sold 7.4 million Xbox One and Xbox 360 units combined in the second quarter of 2014.
For the quarter ended Dec. 31, Xbox platform revenue decreased $703 million or 10 percent in total console volume.
The company cited the transition from Xbox 360 to Xbox One with lower prices compared to the year prior and lower revenue from second and third-party video games and accessories.
The Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Bundle without Kinect currently holds a discount price of $349.00 at retail, $50 off the $399.99 MSRP.
