Lenovo and NEC Personal Computers this week announced the Lenovo LaVie Z at the International CES in Las Vegas, NV.

The Lenovo LaVie Z HZ550 is said to be the world’s lightest laptop at 1.72 lbs. In addition, the Lenovo LaVie Z HZ750 is the lightest convertible PC at 2.04 lbs.

Lenovo LaVie ZEach model is 16.9mm thick and utilize a Magnesium Lithium forged back cover. The HZ750 uses a direct-bonded touchscreen.

Options include an available 13.3-inch WQHD touchscreen and Intel Core i7 CPU.

The Lenovo LaVie Z HZ550 and HZ750 will be sold in May at $1,299.00 and $1,499, respectively.
