Seagate Technology plc this week said it will release the Seagate Seven to U.S. retail.

The Seagate Seven is said to be the world’s slimmest eternal hard drive in a 2.5-inch form factor and at 7mm depth.

In addition, the enclosure is made entirely of steel.

Finally, the drive features a 500GB data capacity.

It will be sold in Jan. at $99.99.
