Target Corp. stores this week price cut Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS XL by 50 in a new holiday retail initiative.

This week, customers who purchase the Nintendo 3DS XL at $149.99, $50 off the $199.99 MSRP.

In the fourth quarter, the Nintendo 3DS sold 12.2 million units, below the 13.5 million forecast in Jan.

The hardware has sold 43 million units worldwide to date.
