Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 11,697 units between Oct. 6 and Oct. 12 to rank No. 4 in overall hardware sales.
It sold 7,350 units at launch the week prior.
The PS3 sold 4,954 units to rank at No. 5 in the same period.
DriveClub for the PS3 ranked as the No. 7 best-selling software title for the week selling 8,620 units at launch.

Capcom Co. this week said pre-order customers for Resident Evil Revelations 2 for Playstation 4 and Playstation 3 will receive the Raid Mode Stage Pack.
The Raid Mode ‘Throwback’ Stage Pack will be exclusive to Playstation pre-order customers and will be available at launch.
In Resident Evil Revelations 2, veteran Claire Redfield and Moira Burton, the daughter of Barry Burton from Resident Evil, are abducted in an abandoned detention facility and face new Afflicted enemies. The title is said to feature limited ammo and supplies in traditional survival horror style.
NPD Group Inc. this week said Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Destiny ranked as the top-selling software in Sept. at U.S. retail.
For the month of Sept., Destiny ranked as the No. 1 video game software across all platforms.
Sony this week released the Playstation TV hardware to U.S retail.
The stand-alone hardware offers PS4 Remote Play functionality, the Playstation Now video game streaming service, the option to play select PS Vita titles, and standard streaming entertainment functionality at $99.99.
The Playstation TV bundle includes the hardware, a Dualshock 3 Controller, 8GB Memory Card and digital voucher for LEGO: The Movie at $139.00.
Aksys Games this week said it will release Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- to the Playstation 4 and Playstation 3 in Dec. 16.
Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- is a 2D fighting title that will include enhanced fighting mechanics, an expanded Roman Cancel, and new characters.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 9,298 units between Oct. 6 and Oct. 12 to rank as the No. 2 hardware for the week.
By comparison, the hardware sold 14,432 units the week prior.
The PS Vita ranked three titles in the top 10, including DanganRonpa: Another Episode at No. 8.
Meanwhile, the PSP sold 67 units to rank at No. 8 in the same period.
Sony this week released an update to Killzone: Mercenary for the Playstation Vita that includes Playstation TV compatibility.
Update 1.11 includes Playstation TV functionality with Dualshock controls, and a checkpoint restart system.
Mojang AB this week released Minecraft: PS Vita Edition for the Playstation Vita to the Playstation Store.
Minecraft: PS Vita Edition features Cross Buy and Cross Save support for the Minecraft: PS3 Edition.

Microsoft this week said it will sell new Xbox One bundles that include Ubisoft Inc.’s Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag to U.S. retail Nov. 2.
The Xbox One Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle SKUs will include the Xbox One console, Xbox One Wireless Controller, 1-Month Xbox Live Gold Membership and Digital Download Code for Assassin’s Creed Unity without Kinect at $399.99 and with Kinect at $499.99.
Microsoft this week released the October System Update for the Xbox One.
The October Update includes new Snap and Friends functions, improvements for TV and audio, new Accessory and Hide features and new Password Reset functionality.
Microsoft this week said Halo: The Master Chief Collection for the Xbox One will include a Campaign Leaderboard.
The Campaign Leaderboard will feature top scores and speed runs stats for Campaign Achievements.
In addition, users can set a Leaderboard entry as a Rival to measure stats against another user.

Developed by Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within is a survival horror title in which users utilize limited resources to fight for survival.
Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware ranked third in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 6,309 units between Oct. 6 and Oct. 12 to rank at No. 3 in overall sales.
It sold 7,805 units the week prior.
It did not rank any software in the top 10 for the week.
Nintendo this week said sales for the Wii U hardware increased nearly 50 percent in the month of Sept. at U.S. retail.
The company said the hardware saw double-digit sales increases compared to the month of Aug. amid the release of Hyrule Warriors. The title, released Sept. 26, sold 190,000 units in Sept.
Nintendo this month said amiibo NFC figure Wave 2 products will be sold in Dec. at U.S. retail.
Wave 2 characters include Luigi, Zelda, Little Mac, Captain Falco, Pit, and Diddy Kong.
