Nintendo Co. this week released Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U to U.S. retail.

Hyrule WarriorsThe title features trademark playable characters including Link and Captain Impa on a quest to save Princess Zelda from the evil sorceress Cia.

The stage structure is similar to prior Dynasty Warriors titles in which users must defend or reclaim areas by fighting hordes of enemies.

Developed by Tecmo Koei Holdings Co., Hyrule Warriors is based on the Dynasty Warriors franchise and features Link in large-scale battles.

The final game includes unlockable characters, moves, weapon types, and two-player co-op functionality via parallel usage of the Wii U GamePad and TV.
