Sega Corp. this week said it will release Survivor Mode DLC for Alien: Isolation for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One, Xbox 360 and the PC.
Survivor Mode is a time-based challenge game mode that pits the player and the alien with limited resources on one map.
The title will ship with one playable map – Basement. The first of five Survival Mode DLC all-ons will be sold Oct. 28, each with new maps, challenges, characters and enemy types. Content will be released through Mar. 2015.
In addition, users can purchase the Alien: Isolation Season Pass to pre-purchase all DLC at a discounted price.
Developed by Creative Assembly, Alien: Isolation is a first-person survival horror title that includes Amanda Ripley, daughter of franchise veteran Ellen Ripley.
The title takes place 15 years after the first Alien film with Amanda in a mission to uncover the truth about her mother’s disappearance.
The final game will allow users to scavenge resources and improvise to survive one Xenomorph.
The Nostromo Edition will include The Crew Expendable bonus which includes Ellen Ripley, Dallas and Parker following the deaths of Brett and Kane. Users can control each character to explore the Nostromo and escape the alien threat.
In addition, GameStop will include the exclusive The Last Survivor DLC in which users control Ripley to activate the Nostromo self-destruct function and escape on the Narcissus.
The original cast, including Sigourney Weaver (Ripley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett) and Yaphett Khoto (Parker) will reprise their roles from Alien in the bonus content.
Alien: Isolation will be sold Oct. 7.
