Best Buy Co. Inc. this week price cut Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 2DS handheld system by $30 in a new hardware sale.
This week, the Nintendo 2DS handheld holds a discount price of $99.99, $30 off the $129.99 MSRP.
The hardware features a brand new slate form factor with dual screens, analog pad, touch screen, and wireless functionality.
In addition, it retains backwards compatibility to all Nintendo DS titles.
Nintendo held a net profit of $99 million in the third quarter due to strong sales of Nintendo 3DS software.
The Nintendo 3DS has sold (to retailers) 42.74 million units and 152.29 software units to date.
The company forecasted a loss of $242 million for the fiscal year ending Mar. 31. In addition, it has lowered Nintendo 3DS annual sales to 13.5 million from 18 million units.
