Nintendo Co. this month said it will release free DLC update to Hyrule Warriors for the Wii U at launch.

The DLC will include a new mode, a new weapon and option to select music.

Customers who pre-order the title will receive a free download code for alternate in-game costumes for Link and Zelda. In addition, customers who register the title with Club Nintendo will receive alternate in-game costumes for Ganondorf.

Hyrule WarriorsHyrule Warriors, to be sold Sept. 26, will feature trademark playable characters including Link and Captain Impa on a quest to save Princess Zelda from the evil sorceress Cia.

The stage structure will be similar to prior Dynasty Warriors titles in which users must defend or reclaim areas by fighting hordes of enemies.

Developed by Tecmo Koei Holdings Co., Hyrule Warriors will be based on the Dynasty Warriors franchise and feature Link in large-scale battles.

The final game will include unlockable characters, moves, weapon types, and two-player co-op functionality via parallel usage of the Wii U GamePad and TV.
