Nintendo Co. this week said it will sell new Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo LL hardware in Japan Oct. 11.
The new Nintendo 3DS LL will include a 4.88-inch screen and up to seven hours of battery life. It will sell at 18,800 yen.
Both will feature a new C-stick for camera controls, new ZL and ZR buttons, new Super-Stable 3D functionality to provide a more comfortable 3D experience, and new NFC technology to support amiibo figurines.
The new Nintendo 3DS and LL hardware will be sold in the U.S. at a to be determined date.
For the fiscal quarter ended June 30, Nintendo held a $97 million loss.
In addition, the Nintendo 3DS handheld sold 820,000 units in the quarter, a decline from 1.4 million units one year ago.
