Sony Corp. this week said the Playstation 4 ranked as the top-selling video game hardware at July U.S. retail.
The hardware has held the No. 1 sales rank in the U.S. for seven consecutive months.
The PS4 has sold more than 10 million units in global territories.
The sales mark is as of Aug. 10, 2014.
More than 30 million copies of PS4 software have been sold at retail and via the Playstation Store.
NPD Group Inc. this week said Sony Corp.’s The Last of Us Remastered for the Playstation 4 ranked as the top-selling software in July at U.S. retail.
For the month of July, The Last of Us Remastered ranked as the No. 1 best-selling software across all platforms.
Konami Corp. this week released a new free download title called P.T. for the Playstation 4 in the Playstation Network division.
P.T., which stands for Playable Teaser, is a stand-alone download title that subsequently reveals itself to be Silent Hills, the next installment in the Silent Hill franchise.
Ninja Theory this week said it will release Hellblade to the Playstation 4.
Ninja Theory previously released Heavenly Sword to the Playstation 3.
Hellblade will be released to console first to the PS4.
Devolver Digital this week said it will release Hotline Miami to the Playstation 4 Aug. 19.
The action title is an original IP that includes violent visuals in a throwback 8-bit graphics set.
Sony this week said System Software Update v2.0 for the Playstation 4 will include Share Play functionality.
Share Play will allow two Playstation Plus members to pass the controller to each other online. In addition, a user can invite another player to play in online competitive or co-op sessions without the requirement for the second player to own the game.
The update will launch this fall.
NIS America Inc. this week released Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited for the Playstation Vita to U.S. retail.
Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited is a re-release of the Playstation 3 SKU that includes new characters, brand-new scenarios, a new tier of spells, all DLC, and high-resolution sprites.
Aksys Games this month said it will release Arcana Heart 3: Love Max!!!!! to the Playstation 3 and the PS Vita Sept. 23.
Arcana Heart 3: Love Max!!!!! is a 2D fighting title that includes 23 combatants that can be combined with 23 various celestial beings to alter stats and abilities.
Microsoft Corp. this week said it will sell the Xbox One Special Edition Sunset Overdrive Bundle Oct. 28.
The bundle will include the Xbox One Cirrus White 500GB hardware, Cirrus White Wireless Controller, Sunset Overdrive game download with Day One Bonus Content, and Xbox One Headset at $399.99.
In addition, Microsoft this week said it will sell the Xbox One Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Bundle Nov. 4.
The Xbox One Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Bundle will include the custom Xbox One 1TB hardware, custom Wireless Controller, Limited Edition Exoskeleton, and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Day Zero Edition at $499.99.
Microsoft this week the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta will launch Dec.
The Multiplayer Beta will run between Dec. 29, 2014 and Jan. 18, 2015. It will feature 4 vs. 4 combat in seven maps and three game types.
Microsoft this week said it will release a new Media Player application to the Xbox One in a new System Update.

The trailer features short CGI film in which an alien stalks Amanda Ripley.
Konami Corp. this week said it will release the Demo for Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 Sept. 17.
PES 2015 will include a new shooting system, expanded passing options, improved dribble, and AI that is constantly adjusted.
Activision Blizzard Inc. this month released the Mars Trailer for Destiny for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the PC.
The trailer features gameplay from the Mars level from the final game.
Destiny, to be sold Sept. 9, tells the story of a thriving civilization that has been destroyed. Survivors built a town beneath the old world which has since become filled with deadly foes. Users take the role of a Guardian to reclaim Earth and defeat all enemies.
Nintendo Co. this week said Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U has sold more than one million units in the U.S.
