Target Corp. this week began offering a $50 Bonus with the purchase of Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One hardware without Kinect in a new retail initiative.
This week, customers who purchase the Xbox One standard edition at $399.99 will receive a $50 Gift Card at no additional cost.
The Xbox One standard edition without Kinect, is sold at $399.00.
The hardware was previously sold only with the Kinect sensor at $499.99.
Between Apr. to June, Microsoft shipped 1.1 million units of Xbox One and Xbox 360 hardware. Xbox revenue increased 14 percent to $104 million from the year prior.
The Xbox One has sold five million units to retailers in global markets.
The Xbox One features an 8-core AMD CPU, Radeon GPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI, and USB 3.0.
