Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita ranked as the No. 2 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 23,642 units between July 21 and July 27 to rank as the No. 2 hardware for the week.
By comparison, the hardware sold 29,601 units the week prior.
The hardware ranked three titles in the top 10, Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines at No. 4, Tokyo Shinseiroku: Operation Abyss at No. 5, and Corpse Party: Blood Drive at No. 6
Meanwhile, the PSP sold 489 units to rank at No. 6 in the same period.
The PS Vita and PSP units sold two million units combined in the three-month period between Oct. and Dec. 2013.
Sony forecasts sales of five million PS Vita and PSP units by fiscal Mar. 2014.
