Sony Corp. this week launched the Playstation Now Open Beta for the Playstation 4.

The Playstation Now PS4 Open Beta allows customers the option to play select Playstation 3 titles via data streaming.

Users can rent titles for seven, 30, or 90 days, in addition to a shorter four-hour duration from $2.99 to $19.99.

Beta launch titles include Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, God of War Ascension and Ultra Street Fighter IV.

Playstation Now is a cloud-based streaming gaming service that will allow users to access a back catalog of Playstation 3 titles on the Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and the Playstation Vita.

The service will be available on 2014 Bravia television sets and subsequently span other Internet-connected devices.

Usage includes continuous play of PS Now games between the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. In addition, consumers can rent titles or purchase a subscription to play PS Now titles.
