Microsoft Corp. this week said it will release a new update for the Xbox One shortly.

The update will include Snap Mode for Achievements, Double-tap Snap, Choice of Spoken Language, Future Digital Bundle and Compilation Discs functionality, and the option to ‘Like’ Game DVR clips.

The Xbox One standard edition without Kinect, is sold at $399.00.

The hardware was previously sold only with the Kinect sensor at $499.99.

The Xbox One sold 1.2 million units in the fiscal third quarter ending Mar. 31, 2014.

The company sold two million Xbox One and Xbox 360 units combined in the period.

The Devices and Consumer division, which includes the Xbox platform, held $8.3 billion in revenue, a 12 percent increase from the year prior.

Microsoft held earnings of $5.66 billion on revenue of $20.4 billion in the third quarter ending Mar. 31, 2014.

The Xbox One has sold five million units to retailers in global markets.

The Xbox One features an 8-core AMD CPU, Radeon GPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI, and USB 3.0.
