Target Corp. this week began advertisement of Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One standard edition without the Kinect sensor in its Sunday circular.
This week, the company advertised the new lower priced SKU in a circular that runs through June 21.
The Xbox One standard edition without Kinect, is sold at $399.99.
The hardware was previously sold only with the Kinect sensor at $499.99.
The Xbox One has sold 1.2 million units in the fiscal third quarter ending Mar. 31, 2014.
The company sold two million Xbox One and Xbox 360 units combined in the period.
The Devices and Consumer division, which includes the Xbox platform, held $8.3 billion in revenue, a 12 percent increase from the year prior.
Microsoft held earnings of $5.66 billion on revenue of $20.4 billion in the third quarter ending Mar. 31, 2014.
The Xbox One has sold five million units to retailers in global markets.
The Xbox One features an 8-core AMD CPU, Radeon GPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI, and USB 3.0.
