Ubisoft Inc. this week demonstrated Far Cry 4 for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the PC.
In the preview build, users to interact and ride an elephant in order storm through a gate that led in to the enemy stronghold.
The enemy AI was sharp and quick to call backup and utilize nearby artillery. One soldier slide behind cover to attack while another ran to climb a vehicle turret.
Controls held solid aim and movement. The graphics held at 30-frames-per-second with detailed textures including brick-based houses and outdoor foliage that swayed with the wind.
The title, to be sold Nov. 18, will take place in Kyrat, an untamed, mountainous region ruled by a self-appointed king.
The final game will include an exotic open world, powerful weapons and a range of vehicles.
Far Cry 4 pre-order customers will receive a free upgrade to the Limited Edition SKU, which will include Hurk’s Redemption – three single-player missions – and The Impaler weapon.
It will sell at $59.99.
