Sony Corp. this week said it will offer YouTube functionality to the Playstation 4.
This fall, users will be able to use the Share button and upload video capture from their PS4 to their YouTube channel and view friend YouTube channels in the What’s New division.
The Playstation 4 has sold more than seven million units in global territories.
The sales mark is as of Apr. 6, 2014.
PS4 software sales have totaled 20.5 million units worldwide.
In addition, users have utilized the Share feature more than 135 million times, and more than 4.9 million gameplay broadcasts have been streamed from the PS4 via Twitch and Ustream applications.
The PS4 is sold at $399.99.
The hardware utilizes a PC-like architecture with a x86-based AMD Jaguar 8-core CPU, a 1.84 TLFOPS AMD next-generation Radeon GPU, and GDDR5 8GB RAM. In addition, the hardware features a 6X Blu-ray disc drive, USB 3.0 interface, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, and digital output.
Bonus items included with each PS4 include a $10 Playstation Store Credit, 30-day Playstation Plus Trial, and 30-day Music Unlimited Trial at no cost.
