This week, the Xbox One standard edition without Kinect ranked as the No. 1 best-selling pre-order product at BestBuy.com’s Video Games division.
The Xbox One standard edition without Kinect, to be released June 9, will be sold at $399.00.
The hardware was previously sold only with the Kinect sensor at $499.99.
The Xbox One has sold 1.2 million units in the fiscal third quarter ending Mar. 31, 2014.
The company sold two million Xbox One and Xbox 360 units combined in the period.
The Devices and Consumer division, which includes the Xbox platform, held $8.3 billion in revenue, a 12 percent increase from the year prior.
Microsoft held earnings of $5.66 billion on revenue of $20.4 billion in the third quarter ending Mar. 31, 2014.
It released the Xbox One entertainment system Nov. 22.
The Xbox One has sold five million units to retailers in global markets.
