Nintendo Co. this week detailed the Super Smash Bros. Smash Fest to be held in June.
The event will allow consumers to test the Super Smash Bros. Wii U SKU in conjunction with E3 on June 11 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and June 14 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Pre-order customers at the event will receive a collectible Super Smash Bros. gold coin and a $5 Reward Zone certificate with pre-order and pick-up at launch.
In addition, consumers will be able to preview other Nintendo titles showcased at E3.
Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U will be sold in late 2014. The Nintendo 3DS SKU will be sold this summer.
New challengers in the title include Greninja, Zero Suit Samus, Sheik, Yoshi, and Charizard.
Both titles will include online multiplayer functionality to battle users on their respective platforms. Each SKU will have a distinct set of battle arenas.
Previously announced characters in the final game include Luigi, Princess Peach, Little Mac, and Sonic the Hedgehog.
The 3DS SKU will feature 60 frames-per-second graphics fidelity in stereoscopic 3D. In addition, it will include an exclusive mode called Smash Run which four players have five minutes to explore the dungeon and enter the battle arena with newly acquired items.
