Microsoft Corp. this week said the Xbox One ranked as the No. 2 video game hardware at Apr. U.S. retail.

The hardware sold 115,000 units in Apr. to rank as the No. 2 platform for the month.

The Xbox 360 sold 71,000 units in the same period.

The Xbox One has sold 1.2 million units in the fiscal third quarter ending Mar. 31, 2014.

The company sold two million Xbox One and Xbox 360 units combined in the period.

The Devices and Consumer division, which includes the Xbox platform, held $8.3 billion in revenue, a 12 percent increase from the year prior.

The Xbox One has sold five million units to retailers in global markets.

The Xbox One features an 8-core AMD CPU, Radeon GPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI, and USB 3.0.

Microsoft in May will sell the Xbox One without Kinect at $399.00.
