Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita ranked as the No. 2 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 26,388 units between Mar. 31 and Apr. 6 to rank as the No. 2 hardware for the week.
By comparison, the hardware sold 41,867 units the week prior.
The hardware ranked two titles in the top 10 software sales for the week, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd at No. 6 and J Star Victory Vs at No. 8.
Meanwhile, the PSP sold 2,892 units to rank at No. 6 in the same period.
The PS Vita and PSP units sold two million units combined in the three-month period between Oct. and Dec. 2013.
Sony forecasts sales of five million PS Vita and PSP units by fiscal Mar. 2014.
