Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 32,038 units between Mar. 31 and Apr. 6 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 64,632 units the week prior.

It ranked two titles in the top 10 including Mario Party: Island Tour at No. 1, Yo-Kai Watch at No. 3, and New Love Plus+ at No. 7.

Nintendo held a net profit of $99 million in the third quarter due to strong sales of Nintendo 3DS software.

The Nintendo 3DS has sold (to retailers) 42.74 million units and 152.29 software units to date.

The company forecasted a loss of $242 million for the fiscal year ending Mar. 31. In addition, it has lowered Nintendo 3DS annual sales to 13.5 million from 18 million units.
