Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 13,401 units between Mar. 31 and Apr. 6 rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.
It sold 23,327 units at launch the week prior.
The PS3 sold 17,154 units to rank at No. 4 in the same period.
The Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes PS4 SKU ranked as the No. 16 best-selling software for the week.
Sony this week said it will release The Last of Us Remastered for the Playstation 4 this summer.
The title will include full 1080p resolution, upgraded character models, improved shadows and lighting. In addition, it will include the Abandoned Territories Map Pack, Reclaimed Territories Map Pack, and The Last of Us: Left Behind Single Player campaign.
It will sell at $59.99.
Sony Corp. this week said Infamous: Second Son for the Playstation 4 has sold more than 1 million units at retail.
The company said the title is the fastest-selling entry in the franchise to date.
2K Games this week said it will release Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel in fall 2014.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is a standalone title set between Borderlands and Borderlands 2. The title will feature Handsome Jack and take place on Pandora’s moon in standard and anti-gravity gunfights.
The final game will include four new playable characters and new weapons classes, including lasers.
Sony Corp. this week released the Stadium Trailer for MLB 14 The Show for the Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PS Vita.
The trailer includes features and graphics upgrades to each stadium in the final game.
MLB 14 The Show, to be sold in May, will allow users to carry saves from prior MLB The Show titles, a Quick-Counts option for shorter games, and Road to the Show will feature a new advancement system, new intuitive player creation process, and all new pre-draft prospect showcase.
Sony this week released Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut to the Playstation 4.
Developed by Born Ready Games, Strike Suit Zero: Director’s Cut is a space flight combat shooter in which users pilot a ship that can transform into a mech called the Strike Suit.
The final game includes a first-person cockpit and third-person view, and an upgradeable weapons system.
Square Enix Holdings Co. this week released the Designing RPG Heroes Trailer for Drakengard 3 for the Playstation 3.
The trailer features the creative process behind the modern and medieval design for characters in the title.
Developed by Access Games, Drakengard 3 is a prequel in the action RPG franchise.

By comparison, the hardware sold 41,867 units the week prior.
The hardware ranked three titles in the top 10 software sales for the week, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd at No. 6 and J Star Victory Vs at No. 8.
Meanwhile, the PSP sold 2,892 units to rank at No. 6 in the same period.

Microsoft this week released new System Update features for the Xbox One to preview users.
New system update preview features include Blu-ray disc 50 Hz support, controller and headset adapter firmware updates, silent reboot and system update on demand.

Nintendo Co. this week released Kirby & The Amazing Mirror for the Wii U in the Virtual Console division.
Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, originally released for the Game Boy Advance, is an action platform title in which users can summon Red, Yellow or Green Kirby to banish an evil shadow from The Mirror World.
The final game includes mini-games Crackity Hack and Kirby’s Wave Ride.

Nintendo this week said it will release NES Remix 2 for the Wii U in the Nintendo eShop Apr. 25.
NES Remix 2 is a mashup of classic Nintendo games that features challenges from different NES games like Kid Icarus, Kirby’s Adventure and Metroid.
The title includes a new Championship Mode to enter in three consecutive score-based challenges to achieve a high score.
The first NES Remix game is required to unlock Championship Mode in NES Remix 2.

Ubisoft Inc. this week released Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Phantoms to Steam and Windows PC.
The free-to-play online multiplayer title, formerly Ghost Recon Online, includes a new background story, new user interface, and new character and weapon designs for all three classes.
