Nintendo Co.’s Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U ranked in the top five pre-order sales at GameStop Corp.’s online division due to building demand.
This week, Mario Kart 8 ranked as the No. five best-selling pre-order game product at BestBuy.com.
Mario Kart 8, to be sold May 30, includes vehicle transformations that allow each kart to race through anti-gravity tracks. The final game will allow users to drive against the wall, paraglide after a jump, and cruise underwater.
New characters include Rosalina, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, and all seven Koopalings.
It will sell at $59.99.
