Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation Vita ranked as the No. 3 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 33,287 units between Mar. 3 and Mar. 9 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.
By comparison, the hardware sold 23,124 units the week prior.
Soul Sacrifice Delta ranked as the No. 1 software title for the week, selling 48,786 copies at launch.
Meanwhile, the PSP sold 3,425 units to rank at No. 6 in the same period.
The PS Vita and PSP units sold two million units combined in the three-month period between Oct. and Dec. 2013.
Sony forecasts sales of five million PS Vita and PSP units by fiscal Mar. 2014.
