Microsoft Corp. this week said the Xbox One hardware ranked as the No. 2 best-selling hardware in the U.S. in Feb.

NPD Group Inc. this week said the Xbox One sold 258,000 units in Feb. The figure is said to surpass sales of the Xbox 360 by 61 percent at the same point in time.

Microsoft said the Xbox One sold 772,000 games in Feb.

Meanwhile, the Xbox 360 sold 114,000 units in Feb.

The Xbox One features an 8-core AMD CPU, Radeon GPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI, and USB 3.0.

The Xbox One includes the Xbox One hardware, Kinect camera, Day One Controller, Xbox Live 14-Day Trial, Day One Achievement, Premium Packaging and Decal.

It sells at $499.99.

First-party launch titles include Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, and Dead Rising 3.
