Target Corp. this week began offering a $50 bonus with the purchase of Microsoft Corp.’s new Xbox 360 4GB Kinect Bundle in a new retail initiative.

This week, customers who purchase the Xbox 360 4GB Kinect Bundle at $249.99 will receive a $25 gift card at no additional cost.

The bundle includes the new Xbox 360 4GB hardware which features a smaller form factor.

The Xbox 360 sold 3.5 million units in the second quarter.

The Devices and Consumer division, which includes the Xbox platform, held $1.9 billion in revenue, a 68 percent increase from the year prior.

Microsoft held earnings of $6.56 billion on revenue of $24.52 billion in the second quarter ending Dec. 31, 2013.

Microsoft released the Xbox One entertainment system in Nov.
