Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the top-selling hardware in Japan in the latest data from the region.
Media Create Co. this month reported the PS4 sold 65,685 units between Feb. 24 to Mar. 2 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.
It sold 309,154 units at launch the week prior.
The hardware ranked four titles in the top 10, including Knack at No. 2 and Yakuza Ishin! at No. 8.
Sony this week said the Playstation 4 has sold more than six million units in global territories.
The sales mark is as of Mar. 2, 2014.
The figure includes 370,000 units sold in Japan since launch on Feb. 22, 2014.
PS4 software sales have totaled 13.7 million units worldwide, including Killzone: Shadow Fall at 2.1 million units worldwide.
Additional top-sellers include Knack, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.
Ubisoft Inc. this week said it will release the Watch Dogs May 27.
A version for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U will be sold at a later date.

Sony this week released The Insurgent Pack for Killzone: Shadow Fall for the Playstation 4.
The Insurgent Pack features a brand new Character Class, three new abilities, three new weapons and two new game modes, including the new Single Player Elite Mode.
It will be sold in Apr. and is included in the Killzone: Shadow Fall Season Pass.
Sony this week said it will release PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate to the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PS Vita this summer.
PixelJunk Shooter Ultimate will include the campaigns from the first and second release.
The PS4 SKU will feature a full visual upgrade at 60 frames-per-second and a redesigned ship.
The PS Vita SKU will include touch manipulation of various fluids including water, lava, magnetic fluid, and acid.
The final game will include a new HUD, Cross Play, Cross Save and a new scoring system.
Sony this week relelased Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition for the Playstation 4 to the Playstation Network division.
The top-down action shooter includes 1080p high-definition graphics, improved textures, rendering and effects, and improved controls.
The final game includes a full campaign mode for solo or co-op local and online play, Arcade and Endless game modes, Challenge mode, and Broadcast+ functionality to stream gameplay to the public.
Digital Extremes this week released Update 12 to Warframe for the Playstation 4.
Update 12 includes a new Warframe, new weapons, new capture Interception game mode, and a new HUD.
Developed by Digital Extremes, the free-to-play action combat title features solo and cooperative functionality and touch pad control options like a swipe to charge at an opponent.
Sony this week said the HBO GO application is now available for the Playstation 3.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox 360 sold 257 units between Feb. 24 and Mar. 2 to rank No. 7 in overall sales.
By comparison, the hardware sold 241 units the week prior.
Microsoft this week released the March System Update for the Xbox One due.
Post update, the friends list will be displayed on the front page of the Friends application. In addition, Party Chat will be turned on by default, users can chat with Party Chat friends and friends playing in game, an ‘Invite Friends to Game’ option will be displayed in multiplayer titles, and a ‘Recent Players’ list will show Xbox Live members a user recently played with.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment this week said it will release Batman: Arkham Knight for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox One and the PC in 2014.
Developed by Rocksteady Studios, Batman: Arkham Knight is the finale to the Arkham series. The title will feature trademark villains, including The Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, and Harley Quinn.
The final game will introduce a driveable version of the Batmobile for the first time in the series.
Microsoft this week said Music Videos are now available in the Xbox Music division of the Xbox One.
More than 92,000 music videos are available in Xbox Music. In addition, users can create a Radio Stream based on artist and the music video will play automatically if available.

South Park: The Stick of Truth, to be sold Mar. 4, is a turn-based RPG in a quest to save South Park.
Microsoft this week said Civilization Revolution and Dungeon Defenders will be free to Xbox Live Gold members with the ‘Games with Gold’ program.
Civilization Revolution is free through Mar. 16, and Dungeon Defenders will free to download beginning Mar. 16.
Civilization Revolution typically sells at $29.99. Dungeon Defenders sells at $14.99.

It sold 8,407 units the week prior.
The hardware did not rank any software in the top 10 for the week.
The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan in the latest sales data from the territory.
Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 38,013 units between Feb. 24 and Mar. 2 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.
The hardware sold 32,151 units the week prior.
It ranked five titles in the top 10, including Harvest Moon: Linking The New World at No. 1, Fossil Fighters: Infinite Gear at No. 3, and Kirby Triple Deluxe at No. 10.
Namco Bandai Games America Inc. this week said it will release Dark Souls II for the PC Apr. 25.
Dark Souls II will include a brand new game engine, new monsters and bosses, additional customization options and cooperative and competitive gameplay.
