Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 ranked as the top-selling hardware in Japan amid launch of the product in the territory.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS3 sold 309,154 units between Feb. 17 to Feb. 23 to rank No. 1 in overall hardware sales.

The hardware ranked four titles in the top 10, including Knack at No. 1, Yakuza Ishin! at No. 3, Killzone: Shadow Fall at No. 7 and Battlefield 4 at No. 8.

The PS3 sold 9,983 units to rank at No. 4 in the same period.

Sony this week said MLB 14 The Show for the Playstation 4, Playstation 3 and PS Vita will allow users to option faster complete games.

With the Quick Counts option, in conjunction with Fast Play presentation, games can be completed in 30 minutes.

In addition, Player Lock will allow games to be completed in as little as 10 minutes.

Quick Counts and Player Lock will be available in all modes except Road to the Show.

Sony this week released the Behind-the-Scenes Trailer for The Order: 1886 for the Playstation 4.

The trailer features developer commentary and in-game gameplay action.

The Order: 1886 is a single-player third-person action adventure with shooting mechanics and is set in London at the end of the 19th century.

The final game will include a linear story-based mode.

Sony this week released the Gameplay Trailer for Infamous: Second Son for the Playstation 4.

The trailer features segments of explosive gameplay to be found in the final game.

In Infamous: Second Son, Delsin Rowe, a man who discovers new powers, is on the run from the Department of Unified Protection, a group that aims to hunt down and cage superhumans.

Sony this week said Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition for the Playstation 4 will be sold in the Playstation Network division Mar. 4.

The top-down action shooter includes 1080p high-definition graphics, improved textures, rendering and effects, and improved controls.

The final game includes a full campaign mode for solo or co-op local and online play, Arcade and Endless game modes, Challenge mode, and Broadcast+ functionality to stream gameplay to the public.

Namco Bandai Games America Inc. this week released Tales of Symphonia Chronicles for the Playstation 3 to U.S. retail.

Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, to be sold Feb. 25, is a high-definition remaster of Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.

Sony this week said it will sell the Playstation 3 LEGO The Hobbit Bundle to U.S. retail this spring.

The bundle will include the PS3 500GB hardware SKU and LEGO The Hobbit at $269.99.

LEGO The Hobbit, to be sold Apr. 8, includes key locations from the hobbit films and the option to forge new items.

The final game includes characters Bilbo, Gandalf, and the Dwarves.

Atlus Inc. this week said it will release Persona 5 and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax to the Playstation 3.

Persona 5 is the first franchise RPG developed for the PS3. It will be sold in 2015.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is the sequel to Persona 4 Arena and includes a new story mode, new modes, the inclusion of classic Persona 3 characters Junpei Iori and Yukari Takeba, and new character Sho Minazuki. It will be sold fall 2014.

Finally, Persona 4: Dancing All Night, a rhythm action title for the PS Vita, will be sold in 2015.

Capcom Co.’s Strider is a sharp reboot that includes quick combat and branch-based level design for an in-depth arcade experience in a FINAL Review.

Sales for the Playstation Vita ranked as the No. 3 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 18,240 units between Feb. 17 and Feb. 23 to rank as the No. 3 hardware for the week.

By comparison, the hardware sold 18,348 units the week prior.

The PS Vita did not rank any titles in the top 10 for the week.

Meanwhile, the PSP sold 3,171 units to rank at No. 6 in the same period.

NIS America Inc. this week said Demon Gaze for the PS Vita will offer Disgaea DLC free upon release.

Disgaea DLC characters include Etna, Flonne, Sicily, Asagi, and Prinny.

Demon Gaze, to be sold Apr. 22, is a dungeon crawler RPG that includes customizable party creation and touchscreen navigation functionality.

The final game includes high-definition character and art illustrations.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 hardware ranked No. 6 units in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox 360 sold 241 units between Feb. 17 and Feb. 23 to rank No. 6 in overall sales.

By comparison, the hardware sold 256 units the week prior.

Microsoft this week said it will sell the Xbox One Titanfall Bundle to U.S. retail Mar. 11.

The bundle will include the Xbox One Console, Kinect Sensor, Headset, 1-Month Xbox Live Code, and Titanfall Game Token at $499.99.

Microsoft this week said the Twitch application will launch to Xbox One Mar. 11

Twitch allows users to capture and live broadcast game sessions.

In addition, Twitch functionality will allow users to live stream their game session using the popular social infrastructure.

The final application will offer voice command functionality.

Microsoft this month said it will release the Xbox One Media Remote to U.S retail in early Mar.

The remote will allow users to control playback of Blu-ray disc movies and streaming content. In addition, the product features dedicated Back and OneGuide buttons.

It will sell at $24.99.

Capcom Co. this week released the Dead Rising 3 Chaos Rising DLC for the Xbox One.

Chaos Rising includes renegade biker Hunter Thibodeux in a mission escape prison, seek revenge and fight for control of his gang. The DLC features a new mission, new weapons and new vehicles at $9.99.

Konami Corp. this week said customers who purchase Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will receive DLC for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

The DLC, available for a limited time, will provide users with additional resources for the Mother Base area introduced in the events of Ground Zeroes.

In addition, content unlocked in Ground Zeroes will carry over to The Phantom Pain, including rescued Prisoners of War and VIPs.

Finally, a second-screen iDROID application, which replicates Big Boss’ in-game communications/map device, will be available for download for iOS, Android, and Xbox Smart Glass at no cost.

Ubisoft Inc. this week said it will release Trials Fusion to the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the PC Apr. 16.

The physics-based platform racer will include a brand new FMX Tricks System, skill games, challenges, Editor Mode, and Track Central to download and share track designs with global users.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment this week said it will release the Cold, Cold Heart DLC for Batman: Arkham Origins to the Playstation Network, Xbox Live, and the PC Apr. 22.

The Cold, Cold Heart DLC features several hours of all-new content in a first encounter with Mr. Freeze.

The DLC includes the Batman Extreme Environment suit and new gadgets like the Thermocharged Batarangs.

Square Enix Holdings Co. this week released Thief U.S. retail.

Thief is a stealth action title that allows users to utilizes multiple arrow types, or use a focus ability to manipulate the environment to outsmart enemies.

Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware ranked fifth in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 8,407 units between Feb. 17 and Feb. 32 to rank at No. 5 in overall sales.

It sold 8,782 units the week prior.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze ranked at No. 11 for the week.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 2 hardware in Japan due in the latest sales data from the territory.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold units between Feb. 10 and Feb. 16 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 32,151 units the week prior.

It ranked four titles in the top 10, including Dragon Quest Monsters 2 at No. 4 and Kirby Triple Deluxe at No. 9.

WWE this week launched the WWE Network, a new 24/7 streaming network.

The streaming network offers on-demand, all 12 Pay-Per-View Events, replays of Raw and Smackdown, In-Ring Shows, and original programming at $9.99 per month with a six-month commitment.

Users can access the network from their PC or other Internet-connected devices including the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360, Inc.’s Kindle Fire, Roku, and iOS and Android mobile devices via the WWE App.
