Microsoft Corp. this month said it will release the Xbox One Media Remote to U.S retail in early Mar.

The remote will allow users to control playback of Blu-ray disc movies and streaming content. In addition, the product features dedicated Back and OneGuide buttons.

It will sell at $24.99.

The Xbox One has sold 3.9 million units in global markets.

Microsoft held earnings of $6.56 billion on revenue of $24.52 billion in the second quarter ending Dec. 31, 2013.

The Devices and Consumer division, which includes the Xbox platform, held $1.9 billion in revenue, a 68 percent increase from the year prior.

The Xbox One features an 8-core AMD CPU, Radeon GPU, 8GB RAM, 500GB hard drive, Blu-ray disc drive, 802.11n Wireless with Wi-Fi Direct, HDMI, and USB 3.0.

It sells at $499.99.
