The PS4 has sold 4.2 million units in global territories.

Sony this week said it will release MLB 14 The Show to the Playstation 4 in May, and for the Playstation 3, and PS Vita Apr. 1.

MLB 14 The Show will allow users to carry saves from prior MLB The Show titles, a Quick-Counts option for shorter games, and Road to the Show will feature a new advancement system, new intuitive player creation process, and all new pre-draft prospect showcase.

Online Franchise will include Scouting, the Amateur Draft, Free Agency, and CPU Trades.

The PS4 SKU is said to offer a graphics leap with metal, wood, and steel material to relay an accurate sun reflection, detailed stadiums, and increased texture sizes.

Sony this week said EA Inc.’s Battlefield 4 for the Playstation 4 lead Playstation Network sales for the month of Jan..

In Jan., the Battlefield 4 PS4 SKU ranked as the No. 1-selling title in the Playstation Network division.

DICE this week said EA Inc.’s Battlefield 4 Second Assault for the Playstation 4 and Playstation 3 will be sold in Mar.

It will be released for PS4 and PS3Battlefield Premium members Feb. 18.

Second Assault features fan-favorite maps from Battlefield 3, including Operation Metro, Caspian Border, Gulf of Oman, and Operation Firestorm.

Sony this week released The Last of Us: Left Behind for the Playstation 3.

The Left Behind DLC includes characters Ellie and Riley in an event set prior to The Last of Us.

It sells at $14.99.

Square Enix Holdings Co. this week released Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 to U.S. retail.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII features full control of Lightning in an attempt to save Gran Pulse from destruction in 13 days.

The final game includes all new lands, monsters, abilities and spells.

Sony this week said it will sell the new PS Vita PCH-2000 SKU at U.S. retail this spring.

The PCH-2000 SKU is 20 percent slimmer and 15 percent lighter than the previous SKU. It will include an LCD screen compared to the current model OLED display.

In addition, battery life has been extended to four to six hours compared to the current model at three to five hours.

It will included in a new Borderlands 2 Bundle with six DLC packs and an 8GB Memory Card at $199.00.

Sony this week said Killzone: Mercenary for the Playstation Vita ranked as the top-selling title in the Playstation Network for the month of Jan.

Killzone: Mercenary includes shooting and close-combat first-person action in nine single-player paid-job scenarios.

Each of the title’s nine missions is between 40 minutes to 1 hour in length and includes large set pieces.

In addition, the title includes multiplayer functionality for up to eight players with six maps and three game types.

Sony this week said it will release God of War Collection for the Playstation Vita to U.S. retail May 6.

The collection will include God of War and God of War II at $29.99.

The final game is said to include improved controls and a load-free experience.

NIS America Inc.’s DanganRonpa: Trigger Happy Havoc for the Playstation Vita is a dark and clever mystery trial game that pits users in intense chapters of murder and intrigue in a FINAL Review.

Microsoft this week released a new System Update to the Xbox One.

An additional system update will be released Mar. 4 in preparation for the launch of Titanfall to improve the party and multiplayer systems.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment this week released the Humanity Trailer for Dying Light for the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the PC.

The trailer features the city of Harran destroyed and infested with zombies.

Developed by Techland, Dying Light is a first-person survival horror title with a day-night cycle set in an open world.

Pre-order sales for the Xbox One Stereo Headset and Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter began this week at U.S. retail.

The Xbox One Stereo Headset features full range 20Hz – 20kHz audio, detachable Stereo Headset Adapter, and unidirectional microphone at $79.99.

In addition, the Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter to allow users to use an existing stereo headphone set will be sold separately at $24.99.

Bethesda Softworks this week said it will release The Evil Within to the Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and the PC Aug. 26.

Developed by Tango Gameworks, The Evil Within is a survival horror title in which users utilize limited resources to fight for survival.

In the title, Detective Sebastian Castellanos and his partners investigate the scene of a mass murder, is subsequently knocked unconscious, and awakens in a deranged world.

The final game is said to include brutal traps and twisted creatures.

Nintendo this week said Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U will be released May 30.

New to Mario Kart 8 are vehicle transformations that allow each kart to race through anti-gravity tracks. In the preview build users could drive against the wall, paraglide after a jump, and cruise underwater.

New characters include Rosalina, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, and all seven Koopalings.

Nintendo this week said Super Mario 3D World for the Wii U has sold 655,000 units at U.S. retail.

The title was released Nov. 2013.

Super Mario 3D World includes four-player simultaneous, co-op functionality, and new power-up items.

Nintendo this week said Little Mac from Punch-Out!! will be playable character in Super Smash Bros. for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.

The new entry, to be sold in 2014, will add new challengers, including the Village from Animal Crossing and Capcom Co.’s Mega Man.

In addition, Super Smash Bros. will include an updated roster of Nintendo and other company video game characters.

Nintendo this week released Steel Diver: Sub Wars for the Nintendo 3DS to the Nintendo eShop division.

The title is a tactical first-person submarine shooter that will include single-player missions and four vs. four team local and online battles.

A free version that includes two submarines, two single-player missions and local and online multiplayer is now available to download at the Nintendo eShop.

Nintendo this week said it will release Mario Golf World Tour for the Nintendo 3DS May 2.

The golf title will include new customization options that allow users to customize their Mii character with new outfits or new clubs that increase user stats.

Namco Bandai Games America Inc. this week released One Piece: Romance Dawn for the Nintendo 3DS to U.S. retail.

One Piece: Romance Dawn is an RPG in which Monkey D. Luffy sets out to find the ultimate treasure and become the next Pirate King.
