Microsoft Corp. this week said it will release the Xbox 360 Special Edition Chrome Series Purple and Black Wireless Controllers to U.S. retail in Mar.
The controllers feature the transforming D-Pad and colored chrome at $54.99 each.
The black controller will be sold exclusively at Wal-Mart Stores Inc. and Microsoft Store locations, and the purple controller will be sold exclusively at Best Buy Co. Inc. and Microsoft Store locations.
The Devices and Consumer division, which includes the Xbox platform, held $1.9 billion in revenue, a 68 percent increase from the year prior.
Microsoft held earnings of $6.56 billion on revenue of $24.52 billion in the second quarter ending Dec. 31, 2013.
