Retailer GameStop Corp. this week said it has restocked Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 at brick and mortar locations.
The company said it is working closely with Sony to receive weekly shipments of the in-demand hardware.
In addition, it made available limited stock at GameStop.com to online customers.
The PS4 has sold 4.2 million units in global territories.
It will be sold Feb. 22 in Japan.
The PS4 is sold at $399.99.
The hardware utilizes a PC-like architecture with a x86-based AMD Jaguar 8-core CPU, a 1.84 TLFOPS AMD next-generation Radeon GPU, and GDDR5 8GB RAM. In addition, the hardware features a 6X Blu-ray disc drive, USB 3.0 interface, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, and digital output.
Bonus items included with each PS4 include a $10 Playstation Store Credit, 30-day Playstation Plus Trial, and 30-day Music Unlimited Trial at no cost.
First-party titles for the PS4 include Killzone: Shadow Fall, DriveClub, Knack, Infamous: Second Son, and The Witness.
