Retailer Best Buy Co. Inc. this week advertised restock of Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 amid a sales lead for the next-generation console.
This week, the retailer advertised restock of the PS4 500GB SKU.
In addition, it was made available limited stock at BestBuy.com to online customers.
Sony in Jan. said the PS4 has sold 4.2 million units in global territories.
It sold through 1 million units in 24 hours post launch in the U.S. and Canada.
It will be sold Feb. 22 in Japan.
The PS4 is sold at $399.99.
The hardware utilizes a PC-like architecture with a x86-based AMD Jaguar 8-core CPU, a 1.84 TLFOPS AMD next-generation Radeon GPU, and GDDR5 8GB RAM. In addition, the hardware features a 6X Blu-ray disc drive, USB 3.0 interface, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, and digital output.
Bonus items included with each PS4 include a $10 Playstation Store Credit, 30-day Playstation Plus Trial, and 30-day Music Unlimited Trial at no cost.
First-party titles for the PS4 include Killzone: Shadow Fall, DriveClub, Knack, Infamous: Second Son, and The Witness.
