Nintendo Co. this week said sales for the Wii U hardware increased 340 percent at U.S. retail in Nov. U.S. sales

The hardware sold an estimated 220,000 units in the month of Nov.

In addition, Super Mario 3D World sold 215,000 units in combined physical and digital units in Nov.

The company price cut the Wii U hardware in Sept. by $50 in an effort to increase slow sales. The Basic Set SKU sells at $199.99 and the Deluxe Set SKU sells at $249.99.

Nintendo in Nov. began sale of the Wii U Deluxe Set with New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U which includes the 32GB Wii U console and New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U on one disc at $299.99.

In Sept. it began sale of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Wii U Deluxe Bundle at $299.99.
