Sony Corp. this week said the Playstation 4 ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Nov. at U.S. retail in data by NPD Group Inc.
The company said the PS4 ranked as the top-selling console in Nov. and was No. 1 in sales volume for home consoles.
In addition, the hardware has held nearly 800,000 gameplay broadcast sessions to date and more than 7.1 million spectate sessions via video streaming platforms Twitch and Ustream.
Top broadcast games include Battlefield 4, Killzone: Shadow Fall, and Call of Duty: Ghosts.
The PS4 is sold at $399.99.
The hardware utilizes a PC-like architecture with a x86-based AMD Jaguar 8-core CPU, a 1.84 TLFOPS AMD next-generation Radeon GPU, and GDDR5 8GB RAM. IN addition the hardware will feature a 6X Blu-ray disc drive, USB 3.0 interface, Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, and digital output.
Bonus items included with each PS4 include a $10 Playstation Store Credit, 30-day Playstation Plus Trial, and 30-day Music Unlimited Trial at no cost.
First-party launch titles for the PS4 include Killzone: Shadow Fall and Knack.
