Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Call of Duty: Ghosts ranked as the top-selling software in Nov. at U.S. retail in data by NPD Group Inc.
This week, the research firm said Call of Duty: Ghosts ranked as the No. 1 software across all platforms.
In addition, the company said average player sessions for the title are longer than Call of Duty: Black Ops II and Modern Warfare 3 in the same period.
Call of Duty: Ghosts, developed by Infinity Ward, includes an all-new story, all-new characters, and a next-generation Call of Duty engine.
New gameplay includes the ability to control an attack dog named Riley to scout the area or take down enemy soldiers. Controls included aim of the bite attack and the option to bark in order to call attention to enemies.
New multiplayer additions include the Create-A-Soldier function and Squad Mode to create a squad and play in competitive or cooperative offline and online matches. Users can create squads that battle challengers automatically using AI and pre-set customizations to earn XP.
