Sales for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 3 ranked fourth in Japan in the latest retail figures for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported the PS3 sold 12,436 units between Nov. 18 to Nov. 24 to rank No. 4 in overall hardware sales.

By comparison, the hardware sold 12,019 units the week prior.

The hardware ranked three titles in the top 10, including Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII at No. 1, World Soccer Winning Eleven 2014 at No. 7, and Call of Duty: Ghosts at No. 8.

Sony this week began sale of a new Black Friday bundle that includes the Playstation 3 250GB and two game titles for under $200.

The PS3 250GB Black Friday Bundle includes the PS3 250GB SKU, The Last of Us, and Batman: Arkham Origins at $199.99.

Select U.S. retail stores, including GameStop Corp. this week discounted the 12-Month Playstation Plus membership to under $30 in a Black Friday sale.

During the Black Friday promotional sale, the 12-Month PS Plus membership sold at $29.99, 40 percent off the $49.99 MSRP.

Pre-order sales for Gran Turismo 6 for the Playstation 3 ranked as the top-selling product at GameStop Corp. due to building demand.

This week, Gran Turismo 6 ranked as the No. 1 best-selling pre-order product at GameStop.com.

Gran Turismo 6 will include 1,200 vehicles, including all the cars GT5. In addition, the title will feature 33 tracks with 71 different layouts, including all the tracks from GT5. New tracks include the UK Silverstone Circuit.

The final game is said to include a new refactored and compact rendering engine, new physics engine, new course maker, community organizer, new user interface and new mobile and web interface enjoy community functions from various devices.

Namco Bandai Games America Inc. this week released Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers for the Playstation 3.

Saint Seiya: Brave Soldiers is a fighting title sold exclusively via the Playstation Network.

The final game includes more than 50 fighters to battle along three arcs in the original manga.

Sony this month released Soul Sacrifice for the PS Vita to the Instant Game Collection to Playstation Plus members.

The third-person action RPG title includes melee combat and magic functionality in solo or four-player co-op battles.

The final game includes front and rear touch controls and motion-sensing functionality.

The title is available at no cost to PS Plus members. It typically sells at $39.99.

Sales for the Playstation Vita ranked as the No. 2 video game hardware in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month said the PS Vita sold 28,912 units between Nov. 18 and Nov. 24 to rank as the No. 2 hardware for the week.

By comparison, the hardware sold 90,996 units the week prior.

The hardware ranked one title in the top 10, God Eater 2 at No. 6.

Meanwhile, the PSP sold 3,546 units to rank at No. 5 in the same period.

Sales for Microsoft Corp.’s Xbox 360 hardware topped 400 units in Japan in the latest retail data from the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Xbox 360 sold 342 units between Nov 18 and Nov. 24 to rank No. 7 in overall sales.

By comparison, the hardware sold 404 units the week prior.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII ranked at the No. 30 sales rank for the week amid launch of the title in the region.

Microsoft this month released Future Xbox One Games Trailer for the Xbox One.

The trailer features upcoming titles for the hardware, including Halo, Quantum Break, Sunset Overdrive, and Kinect Sports Rivals.

Sales for Nintendo Co.’s Wii U hardware increased in Japan in the latest sales data for the region.

Media Create Co. this month reported that the Wii U sold 21,002 units between Nov. 18 and Nov. 24 to rank at No. 3 in overall sales.

It sold 15,906 units the week prior.

Super Mario 3D World ranked at the No. 2 sales rank for the week selling 99,588 units amid release in the territory.

The Nintendo 3DS ranked as the top hardware in Japan due to strong demand for the handheld.

Media Create Co. this month said the Nintendo 3DS sold 84,501 units between Nov. 18 and Nov. 24 to rank as the No. 1 game hardware for the week.

The hardware sold 70,102 units the week prior.

It ranked four titles in the top 10 game sales including One Piece: Unlimited World Red at No. 3, Pokemon X / Y at No. 4, and Monster Hunter 4 at No. 9.

Nintendo this week began sale of the Nintendo 3DS Luigi’s Mansion Bundle at U.S. retail in the Black Friday shopping period.

The bundle will include a Cobalt Blue Nintendo 3DS system pre-installed with Luigi’s Mansion at $169.99.
