Nintendo Co.’s Nintendo 3DS ranked as the No. 1 hardware in Oct. U.S. sales in new data by NPD Group Inc.

In Oct., the Nintendo 3DS sold 452,000 units to rank as the No. 1 video game hardware for the month.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y ranked as the No. 2 and No. 3 best-selling game titles for the month, respectively, selling 1.7 million units combined in Oct.

The Nintendo 3DS sold 3.89 million units between Mar. and Sept. It has sold 34.98 million units worldwide to date. Nintendo 3DS software sales totaled 122.42 million units to date.

Nintendo will sell Nintendo 3DS XL Gold and Black with The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds Bundle Nov. 22 at U.S. retail.
