Developer Infinity Ward this week said a patch for Activision Blizzard Inc.’s Call of Duty: Ghosts for Sony Corp.’s Playstation 4 will update the title to native 1080p resolution.
The update, to be available at launch, will update the single-player campaign to native 1080p resolution. By default, the campaign will run in 720p resolution.
Call of Duty: Ghosts, developed by Infinity Ward, will include an all-new story, all-new characters, and a next-generation Call of Duty engine.
New gameplay includes the ability to control an attack dog to scout the area or take down enemy soldiers. Controls include aim of the bite attack and the option to bark in order to call attention to enemies.
The PS4 will be sold at $399.99 Nov. 15.
Microsoft this week said the Xbox One will launch in the U.S. at $499.99 Nov. 22.
