Retailer Best Buy Co. Inc. this week began offering a $30 or $50 bonus with the purchase of a select Xbox 360 console in a new retail initiative.
This week, customers who purchase the Xbox 360 250GB SKU or 4GB with Kinect SKU will receive a $50 Gift Card at no additional cost.
In addition, customers who purchase the 4GB console will receive a $30 Gift Card at no additional cost.
New Xbox 360 bundles include the Xbox 360 250GB Holiday Value Bundle with Tomb Raider and Halo 4 at $249.99, Xbox 360 4GB Kinect Holiday Value Bundle with Kinect Sports: Season Two and Kinect Adventures at $249.99, and the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Holiday Value Bundle with Kinect Sports: Season Two, Kinect Adventures, and Forza Horizon at $349.99.
Retailers Amazon.com Inc., Best Buy Co. Inc., and Target Corp. are offering a $50 discount and credit with the purchase of select Xbox 360 console and bundle SKUs.
Microsoft in July said the Entertainment and Devices division generated $1.8 billion in the fourth quarter, an increase of $134 million from the prior quarter.
Operating income totaled $142 million in Q4.
The Xbox 360 shipped 1 million units in the quarter, down from 1.1 million the year prior.
Microsoft will release the Xbox One entertainment system Nov. 22.
